Description:

Check the different tongue extensions in the three pictures!! Medium size butterfly, 4-5 cm wingspan, females half a centimeter bigger than the male. The wing anverse is orange colour with black spots while the reverse in pale yellow and black with brown reflections. Both sexes are very similar in design and colour.

Habitat:

High mountains (1800 m). Pine tree forest. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama
