Notonecta glauca
Aquatic insect, somewhat short of 2cm in body length. It is seen swimming just under the water surface, and on its back, exposing its ventral side to the water surface. While moving and hunting under the surface, it uses its hind legs as oars. While diving, the insect envelops itself in thin coat of air, creating an air pocket for itself, which prevents it from becoming wet.
Seen in an artificial small ponds of a garden of japanese style; in Jura mountain range.
