Dryocampa rubicunda
A moth with distinctive pink and yellow markings. Males have a wingspan of 3.2 to 4.4 centimetres (1.25-1.75 in); females of 3.8 to 5 centimetres (1.5–2 in).
Attracted to lights in my backyard. Deciduous forest nearby.
Range in the eastern United States. Caterpillar hostplants are maples (Acer), sycamore (Platanus), beech (Fagus) or oaks, (Quercus).
