Thanks for commenting EntomologyForKids. Anything is a possibility at this point. I am excited about the possibility of an undiscovered lichen or a rare lichen anyway.

Reminds me a little of Placopsis, but it is not that. I also do not think this is Buellia. You might want to try Lichens Connecting People on Facebook, its a pretty good group and they could probably help point you in the right direction
