Sarangesa bouvieri
Males are usually seen singly, often sharing their habitat with Sarangesa brigida. Both species commonly bask with wings fully outspread on bushes or low vegetation, and will fly in overcast conditions as well as in full sunshine.
Seen sunning itself on a leaf beside a trail in the forest. This species is found in degraded forest and along roadsides through forested areas, at altitudes between about 100-500m.
Kibale National Park (pronounced Chibale) is a national park in South Uganda protecting moist evergreen rain forest. It is 766 km² in size and is located between 1,100–1,600 meters in elevation.. The northern part of the park has the highest elevation. Kibale is one of the last remaining expanses to contain both lowland and montane forests. In East Africa, it sustains the last significant expanse of pre-montane forest.
