Caracara plancus
This species has an extremely large range and their population trend appears to be increasing, so they are listed as Least Concern.
The Southern Caracara occurs from Tierra del Fuego in southernmost South America north to the Amazon River region and southern Peru, avoiding the Andean highlands and dense humid forest, such as the Amazon rainforest.
Photographed at the Barranquilla zoo.
