Description:

upper parts sooty black with short white spot over the eye, rump to tail rufous, apical third of tail black

Habitat:

tropical rainforest

Notes:

One of the only birds I was able to photograph in Maliau basin. It jumped from tree to tree in the forest, displaying its tail. It would let me approach fairly closely before flying to the next tree.
