Banded demoiselle

Calopteryx splendens

Description:

To be honest I confuse this demoiselle with the Calopteryx virgo since both are in my area but I think this one is splendens because the wing is not all uniform blue but has a darker spot.

Habitat:

Grasslands near water.

I've got a soft spot for the broad-winged damselflies. Nice shot!
