Native sulthicum halictid bee

Lasioglossum (Parasphecodes) sulthicum

Description:

The acacia have started blooming (so Spring is near?) and today these tiny bees appeared to inspect the flowers. About 10mm long. Note red abdomen.

Habitat:

On wattle in a local nature reserve adjoining a national park.
