Paracirrhites forsteri
Hawkfish are a highly varied family of fish. They come in a variety of colours and sizes and on coral reefs they are often seen perched on corals. Hawkfish are territorial fish that will guard their coral from invaders. Forster's hawkfish are multicoloured and there is a degree of variation between individuals. Recognizable characteristics are the blue/black spots on the face and the yellow, black and red bands on the body.
