Checkered clerid beetle

Eleale sp.

Description:

About 16mm long, glossy greenish elytra, black under and legs.

Habitat:

On ti-tree flowers in a local nature reserve.

Notes:

There might be a link between this beetle and this species of plant as I don't remember seeing them elsewhere and yet they are in large numbers when the flowers are open.
