Laccaria are definetely the right way, Alex - and I found the ID, though it's not tortilis. It's Laccaria proxima with a darker stem.
Thanks, Elsa.
I am always glad if the objects are somehow undamaged (not too clean though - i love it when it shows authenticity, when it lives) - generally you can turn any object into a nice composition. Mushrooms are perfect fr that: symbolic for woods and it's always a still. Plus, woods always provide with a nice set - any time of year, any weather condition.
about the white edge, there is one to see on the second picture. and the gills could be discolored because of the rain. looks a bit wet. these gills are not really brown, they are creme/rose. but when you dont think, it could be ---> take a look at laccaria tortilis (sorry about the late reply. my explorer was doing weird)
I am not sure about your suggestion, Alex - the lilac bonnet has got a white edge on the cap and the gills are pale. My spotting is missing the bright edged cap and has brown gills.
