Polydamas swallowtail

Description:

Battus polydamas is a black swallowtail butterfly that doesn't have tails. The upper side has yellow markings which I was unable to photograph. The underside has white markings and some red spots.

Habitat:

Spotted at the McAllen Nature Center.
