It is - sorry, I usually add the flower in the description but this time I only had it in the tags. Marigolds are a favorite with lots of the butterflies & moths that visit our yard!
The flower is a marigold (Tagetes sp.).
Nice series! Any idea what the flower is? I only ask because it's entered into the Flowers of North America mission?
It is pretty, and you're right about the name!
