Poison Dart Frog

Description:

Three Green Dart Frog Tadpoles that I've been watching develop. I believe they 39 days old, 34 days and 31 days as of 9/8/14

Habitat:

These tadpoles were placed in a bucket of water with plant clippings in my yard. The adult frogs thrive in the lush, overgrown, tropical flora in the immediate area. The dart frogs live in the green shrubbery and lava rocks between the houses. They need standing water to rear their young. Once I realized the parent frogs were placing tadpoles in the bucket I added a 2nd bucket. Both buckets are now being used by the Dart Frogs for depositing hatchlings. I also added a mini-pond like set up near my front door. I have a 2nd breeding couple placing tadpoles there too.

Notes:

The parent Dart Frogs have brought 3 tadpoles to this bucket. They are about 5 weeks old and a few days apart in development. I have been observing this family for over 2 months.
