Rare for California, vagrant
Species from the Warbler family. Black with bold white wingbar and white under tail and outer tail feathers. Partial lower white eye ring. Deep red chest and belly.
Native to Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico

Habitat:

This was spotted in Poplars and Oak trees in residential area.
