Alex has it! That looks far more like your find Bong, Witch's Butter usually has a distinct shape of an upside-down yellow cup or they may look like blobs on a log, but your spotting definitely has more of a coral-type shape.

Could be Witch's Butter, Tremella mesenterica. This is just a guess, as I know mostly about gilled agarics.
