Description:

The Buff-banded Rail is a medium-sized rail of the family Rallidae. This bird was running for cover when Neil, Shanna and I saw him, so the photos aren't so great! Beautiful colour and markings on this bird.

Habitat:

Seen at Boondall Wetlands north of Brisbane, Australia
