Description:

Family: Erebidae. Subfamily: Arctiinae. Tribe: Arctiini (Tiger Moths). Also called Pale Tiger Moth. Common. Length: 22-25 mm. Pale tan FW has irregular pattern of slightly darker, black-edged bands. Thorax has turquoise and yellow dorsal stripes.

Habitat:

Woodlands or wherever deciduous trees and shrubs are found (including alder, ash, birch elm, oak, and willow.) Came to porch light.
