Shiny Stag Beetle

Odontolabis imperialis

Description:

A female stag beetle with a less impressive mandibles (jaw) compared that of a male. Reflective smooth black-coloured exoskeleton but with reddish femur.

Habitat:

Attracted to the building lights on a forested hill in Ranau.

Notes:
