Carduelis chloris
Big green finch with a thick and stout pale bill. Dark patch between the beak and the eye. Green plumage with a yellow strip on the wing. It presents yellow sides to tail. They feed largely on seeds, but also take berries. This one was spotted solitary but usually they gather in loose groups and sometimes in large feeding groups. It has very musical and varied songs, the reason why it was often breed in captivity.
Spotted at an open oak forest. Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefonso-El Espinar.
