Needle bush (Γαζία)

Vachellia farnesiana

Description:

Vachellia farnesiana (needle bush), is so named because of the numerous thorns distributed along its branches. The V. farnesiana is originated from Mexico and Central America, but the species has a pantropical distribution incorporating northern Australia and southern Asia. It is a very popular garden plant, and an important bee foraging tree, and it was spotted in full bloom in my neighbourhood , Nea Demetrias suburb, Volos city, Greece.
