Thank you John B for these kind words. I saw the beetle very near the nest so perhaps it is the on that made it. I have been away from our place since. The egg is hatched after 6-14 days. So perhaps next time i will observe.

Hi Arne,
this has to be one of the best spottings I have seen on Project Noah. It's very interesting and I have so many questions, but I can't burden you with them all. Maybe you won't mind if I ask you just a couple. 1. Is the beetle in your third picture the female who laid the eggs? 2. Are you going to keep an eye on it to maybe get pictures of the hatching, or perhaps bring the whole thing home to make it easier to observe? I hope whoever decides these things will give you spotting of the month. Now I really feel the meaning of the words "Thank you for sharing". I feel privileged to have seen your amazing spotting. John B.
