Crioa hades
This was a beautiful moth with wings that were a purplish brown. There was a single black streak on either side of the thorax and thin black lined patterns on both fore wings. Antennae were held out. It uwas difficult to view the head because of the position of the moth.
The hind wings were pale with dark sub marginal areas and pale trailing margin.
wing span - 30 mm.
Spotted fluttering against a garden light on a warm evening.

Must be the time for these. We had another moth ( Southern Lady Moth) from the same subfamily inside the house that night.

Thanks Stephen. Thought I'd never find an ID -he was so worn-out.
Nice job of identification
Strange name.
