Ebony Jewelwing Damselfly

Calopterx maculata

Description:

Blue head and body. Black wings with a white spot on each wing. Female.

Habitat:

Found on the edge of a mixed forest. fifty feet from where I spotted males on 4/14.

Notes:

There were three. Males don't have white spots on their wings. When I spotted the males there were two. The males and females never appear together.
