I know that's not an uncommon mix. Do they like humidity higher or lower? Are they more likely to be found in areas where there is more open or more in woodlands? Curious what they act like.

It is most certainly an Eastern Box Turtle. It's a box one too. The eye colour is different than I usually see.

One looks like a three toed and one looks eastern. All we have here in South Carolina are EBTs so it's difficult for me to tell
Common Box Turtle, not sure of the subspecies though.

We found a turtle like this the other day, but her colours were faded, so we couldn't tell what she was
Forest dragon, this is not a tortoise. It is an Eastern Box Turtle, they belong to the American pond turtle family, emydidae.
