I love the scalloped margins of the hind-wings! Most butterflies mimic the scalloping.

Thanks Tukup. That was my first spotting that day as I was driving into the wildlife refuge. I took that pic from my vehicle at about 75 ft away. I had just missed a chance at 2 roadrunners that came out in the open, but of course when I got my camera ready they ran for cover. The overall experience at this wildlife refuge was great.

My research agrees with Seychelles skink. Identified mostly with the black stripe and is bordered by lighter bronze stripes, which are very reflective. The picture on Wikipedia shows it well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seychelles...
