A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I retired in 2007 and became interested in bird/nature photography. My "home base" is the Ridgefield NWR in Washington state.

Emily, you did not insult me! I'm flattered that you are interested enough in my work to even ask the question. I usually think of touch ups as those made to human portrait photography but I guess it is all semantics! Thank you for your interest and nice comments!
Thank you, Emily, naturalist, and Emma, for your kind comments. Emily, I shoot in RAW format, which requires at least some enhancements in post processing. RAW images are not intended to be final when they come out of the camera. I'm not sure I would call my post processing "touch ups," but rather "enhancements" to give the image the most impact possible. Thanks for the question!
Thank you everyone for the nice comments!
Thank you all for the kind comments! The owl is a lot bigger now and still hangs out near the area where it was born, along with its sibling. The pair look to be doing great! Here is a shot taken on Aug. 8, 2012, of this upside down owl. http://www.captureclarkcounty.com/photos...
