The purpose is to catalog and identify species of wildlife found in the south Texas area. Specifically, this mission is to identify plants, insects, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals found in south Texas and northern Mexico. Los Fresnos, Texas is the central point and extends out 300 miles. This includes two countries and different types of water bodies.
