Description:

A moth with a reddish thorax. The head,legs,antennae and tail are black. the wings are black with white tips.

Habitat:

Spotted on wildflowers near the Arkansas river. Range: Florida, the Caribbean, and Texas south to Paraguay. Strays to Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas plus southern Illinois.
