Box tree moth (dark form)

Description:

On the first two days I found it hiding under a leaf. It has returned to our terrace on every night for about a week. It has an interesting iridescent brownish purple-grey color with two small bright dots (crescents).

Habitat:

Suburban backyard.

Notes:

Invasive species in Europe. In Hungary firstly detected in 2011.
