Heath Ochre Skipper

Description:

The Heath Ochre Skipper is an Australian butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. It is is orange brown with distinctive pale brown dots.

Habitat:

Spotted at the edge of subtropical rainforest (Lamington National Park, Queensland). Distribution: New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria.

Notes:

Wingspan about 30 mm. This butterfly flies rapidly close to ground.
