Bom, primeiro pensei ser um Conotrachelus sp. da subfamília Molytinae e tribo Conotrachelini, enviei pro Insetologia. Mas logo pensei ser um Cratosomus sp. da subfamília Conoderinae e tribo Piazurini. Entretanto, com ajuda do Insetologia vi que os ganchos que esses besouros têm nas tíbias são presentes em todas as pernas nos Molytinae, e apenas nas tíbias frontais nos Conoderinae; no caso este parece ter apenas nas frontais e possuem os olhos bem marcantes. Como o sujeito retratado possui os olhos difíceis de perceber pela coloração, tudo o que posso dizer é que os olhos estavam um pouco acima do bico, sugerindo ser um membro da subfamília Conoderinae. Mas nenhum membro dos Conoderinae pareciam corresponder a este, e veio a dúvida cruel. Então, voltando a achar que possa ser um Molytinae, podemos também chegar ao gênero Heilipodus que remete bastante a este. Mas se formos pensar novamente em Molytinae, creio que podemos descartar hesitantemente Conotrachelus. Então meu palpite de identificação correta está entre Cratosomus sp. da subfamília Conoderinae e tribo Piazurini e Heilipodus sp. da subfamília Molytinae e tribo Hylobiini; mas de forma alguma descarto com 100% de certeza Conotrachelus da subfamília Molytinae e tribo Conotrachelini. Também não descarto Heilus sp. da família Molytinae, tribo Hylobiini e subtribo Hylobiina, pois este indivíduo da fonte que proporcionei nesse post lembra muito o da foto
Complicado, né? Esses besouros são fitófagos, possivelmente polifitófagos, mas desconheço qual a planta hospedeira sem uma ID confiável. A planta que ele estava em cima na foto é uma Impatiens sp., mas esta não é sua hospedeira, eu o coloquei em cima pra fotografar. Tenho quase certeza que esse besouro é um Curculionídeo da subfamília Molytinae ou Conoderinae, mas não consigo ir adiante.

This one is another braincracker. It's definitely a Coleoptera in the family Curculionidae, but the subfamily is getting problematic. I've asked a few friends for help; one told me it was possibly a Conotrachelus sp. belonging in the subfamily Molytinae and tribe Conotrachelini. A day passed and I received word that it could be a Cratosomus sp., a member of the subfamily Conoderinae and tribe Piazurini. Later, I received word that it could also be a Heilipodus sp., member of the subfamily Molytinae and tribe Hylobiini. The main issue is the physionomy. Molytinae has a hook on every tibia, while Conoderinae only has it on the frontal tibiae, which seems to be the case here. Also, Cratosomus has remarkable eyes above the beak which seems to be the case here, but I couldn't find any matching examples of Conoderinae and so shifted my attention back to Molytinae. The genus Heilipodus seemed to possess more traits than those of Conotrachelus and so, hesitantly I discarded Conotrachelus, but not definitely. Also, I believe there are more options, as this individual in the source I provided in this post (Heilus) seems to look a lot like the one depicted here.
Tough, right? The beetle is phytophagous, possibly poliphytophagous, but without an ID I can't elaborate on the host plants. The plant he was on is an Impatiens sp., but it's not his host plant, I put him there to take the picture. I'm almost sure this is a Curculionid in the subfamily Molytinae or subfamily Conoderinae and I can't go further on this one.
