Spotting

Description:

Small schooling fish. Seem to be very common. In the last couple photos, they're going after a piece of bread.

Pond at Little Mulberry Park

i think its a tilapia (what we call it in the philippines)

Thanks, both of you! They probably are young, since there were tons of them ranging from minnow-sized to these. I'll look into those ID suggestions.

The dorsal fin and and rounded tail without a deep V makes me think bluegill, Lepomis macrochirus. I'm guessing as well.

I'm not sure what these are, but I'll take a stab at it. First, they look young, so that may make it harder to pin down, but they appear to be some sort of panfish (sunfish). Maybe white crappie or white bass. I'd start searching along those lines and see if you can narrow the ID down. Good luck!
