Moth

Description:

Looks like it is cloaked in rich green brocade embroidered in blackish colours. The antennae remind me of pigtails...in all, it looks as if it would have been at home in ancient Mandarin palaces.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. About 3 hours drive from the neraest town of Siliguri. Remote hilly forested area. Himalayan foothills. A bit of a moth paradise.

Dear Heather, What a lovely thought! Thanks. No, I have not consulted any local expert...I do not know any...I am sure my friends on PN will tell me the names...Many thanks once again.

You find so many beautiful moths! Have you contacted a local expert? It's possible you've discovered one or more new species.
