Gulf Coast Toad

Incilius nebulifer

Description:

These medium sized toads (2-3 inches) are dark on the dorsum with a white line down the back and another on each side of the abdomen

Habitat:

There was a vacant overgrown lot behind an apartment building in downtown Port Neches, TX that was literally loaded with these toads. I think you can see why in the last picture the pair in amplexus. Only concerned with preserving the species, I'm sure.

Notes:

One could go out any night and photograph no less than 20 of these. I finally just decided I had enough pictures of Incilius nebulifer.
