Description:

This species has relatively large branch and stem leaves. Stem and branch cortical cells are supported by spiral fibrils, numerous pores per cell. Branch leaves deeply convex. Stem and branch leaf cells covered in papillae. Plant is green-yellow in color and forms a shaggy capitulum with short fascicles.

Habitat:

Bogs and fens. Mostly sun; near water table; mixed with sedges. Found adjacent to access road.
