Description:

About 8 millimeters or so in body length, colored as shown. Note eyes strongly converging toward the mouth, a helpful character in identifying the genus.

Habitat:

Female was digging a burrow in a path of deep, sandy soil adjacent to an arroyo (dry riverbed). Area surrounding this riparian corridor is degraded shortgrass prairie with sunflower, yucca, prickly-pear, and scattered elm trees.
