Confused Haploa

Haploa confusa

Description:

about 1"

Habitat:

understory brush

Notes:

Only the second interesting moth I was able to spot during moth week. I was off trail at Short Hills and disturbed this moth resting on a bush. I was lucky I lost the trail for a bit or I would have never seen this.

Thanks Carol. It is related to what you call the cross moth, it is also a Haploa species.

I never saw this moth in PA. I really like this one. I guess it might be related to what I call the "cross" moth.
