Description:

About 1.5 inches Lophocampa argentata has reddish brown wings with plenty of silvery white spots and a blonde and brown hairy face that looks like it is mimicking the Abominable Snowman.

Habitat:

Attracted to lights in an underground parking garage. Plenty of large fir trees nearby to attract the species to the area.

Notes:

Its favorite host plant is the fir tree, which its larvae can damage.
