Angle Shades

Phlogophora meticulosa

Description:

At first all I could see was a moth fluttering its wings very fast and was trying to get a photo for ID but it was jumping around strangely, then I realised that it had been attacked by a wasp which was evidently winning. Life is cruel at times in the animal kingdom.
Have no ID for the moth but the wasp is probably Vespula vulgaris or germanica, again not sure which.

Habitat:

garden
