About 25+ millimeters in body length, extremely slender, and colored black and yellow as shown.

Habitat:

This wasp was drinking nectar from a lone, blooming saltcedar tree (Tamarix sp.) in a vast open field of degraded shortgrass prairie with sunflower, yucca, and scattered elm trees.
