Dotted Moth

Metaemene collina

Description:

A small moth from the Noctuidae family at less than 8mm in body length. Wings consist of light brown marks and white lines that connect black spots. White head with hidden antennae. This Metaemene species is endemic to Borneo and not very common. All the Metaemene species are small and have similar dotted and checkered wing patterns. Little is known about this genus.

Habitat:

Kundasang highland rainforests, Sabah, Malaysia.
