Description:

Under 30cm in size, black and white bird, yellow lined beak edge near face, males and females similar although the black and white markings differ and indicates the sexes. Loud sharp calls, feeds on insects, grubs, larvae, sometimes fruit. Builds a unique mud nest. Has a habit of constantly attacking its own image when reflected in windows, mirrors etc. and sometimes will attack people during breeding season.

Habitat:

Found throughout Australia, this one in dry woodland near garden.
