Ganoderma australe
About 400mm across the largest parts. Fomes-type braket fungi. Dry pink and powdery on top. White rubbery underside with very small pores.
On the base of a 'Black wattle' (dead?) in a country nature reserve.
Formerly Ganoderma applanatum. A growing fertile surface in summer heat !!? Maybe there was good rain in the area a couple of weeks ago.
