Red-shouldered hawk

Buteo lineatus

Description:

The red-shouldered hawk has a redish (cinnamon) head, shoulders, chest and belly. Wings and back are dark brown with white spots. Long tail with thin white bands. Obvious red wing linings seen in flight. Female same as male.

Habitat:

this red-shouldered hawk was spotted at Ocean Pond campground in Oluster, Florida.
