Noctuid Moth (♂)

Zagira stragulata

Description:

This is a Noctuid Moth that i found on the wall of my house. This moth has brown wings. The forewings have a pale area along the costa which extends across the thorax. The wings have a bulge along the outer margin, and a hook tip to the apex. The length of this moth is about 8 mm, and its wingspan is about 15 mm. This one is a male moth.

Habitat:

- Spotted on the wall of my house. Usually, it can be found around the house especially near the light sources.

Notes:

- This moth is from the family Noctuidae (subfamily Acontiinae). It is attracted to the light (possibly a nocturnal insect). Thanks to Agnes Adique Talavera for the ID.
