Arisaema triphyllum
This perennial plant was growing in an area of the reserve where a controlled burn had just taken place a week earlier. The oxalic acid in this plant is poisonous but it was reportedly eaten as a root vegetable when cooked appropriately. Native Americans also used it in medicinal remedies.
