Wasp Mimic Moths - Mating

Syntomoides imaon

Description:

These are a pair of Wasp Mimic Moth that i found on the wall of my house. Their abdomen are banded with black and orange colors (mimicking a wasp for protection), and they have transparent windows in the wings. The size of female moth is about 15 mm in length, and the wingspan is about 30 mm. The size of male moth is about 10 mm in length, and the wingspan is about 25 mm.

Habitat:

- Spotted on the wall of my house. Usually, it can be found around the house and garden.

Notes:

- This is a moth from the family Arctiidae. It is called wasp mimic moth because its abdomen mimicking a wasp (for protection).
