Eastern Blossum Bat

Syconycteris australis

Notes:

This project involved catching micro bats in Iron Range, taking a small DNA sample, acoustic recording of the species, photographs and measurements to help figure out distribution, density and species abundance in the Cape York lowland rainforests. Was really fun to see all the different bats that were in the area.

Fantastic Scott. So small. Interesting comment on wiki too... "The common blossom bat only enemy is the honeybee." Must check up on this.
